ICA Studio renews its website and its approach to communication
After more than twenty years in business, the firm has chosen to share the work, methodology and expertise behind every project.
ICA Studio is embarking on a new communication journey. The redesigned website and a more structured presence on LinkedIn will serve as tools to communicate the firm’s expertise, methodology and design capabilities more clearly. Alberto Restelli and Andrea Protti, the company’s owners, explain the reasons behind this decision.
What would you like to change about the way people perceive ICA Studio through this new communication strategy?
We work alongside our clients, supporting them throughout every stage of a project, but much of our contribution inevitably remains behind the scenes. Through our website and social media channels, we want to give greater visibility to our expertise, our methodology and the complexity of the work we carry out.
What sets your work apart most?
Our ability to look beyond established or seemingly simpler solutions. We always seek the most effective answer for the client, even when this requires exploring new paths and developing reference models that do not yet exist.
How have you built this wealth of expertise?
When we started, much of the information we needed was difficult to access. We studied plants throughout Europe and carried out in-depth research into regulations, technologies and processes. This enabled us to develop the know-how that now allows us to handle complex projects, including their authorization and management aspects.
How difficult is it to communicate highly technical expertise without oversimplifying it?
It is a demanding exercise, and one that we have addressed through the new website and our LinkedIn profile: translating complexity into accessible content while preserving the professionalism and rigour that define the way we work.
Which aspect of your work has received the least visibility so far?
The operational flexibility with which we approach projects that can differ greatly from one another: national or international, small- or large-scale. The contexts and dimensions may change, but the level of analysis, attention to design and quality of expertise remain the same.
This ability to move across different scales, sectors and levels of complexity is an important part of the value we provide. It is no coincidence that we have recently introduced a new tagline that we believe effectively sums up our approach: Movement between disciplines.
